What we know about Kendi.
Kendi came from her owner due to a change in circumstances.
She’s a nervous dog and is very wary of new people, especially men and children. She’s house-trained but does not like to be left alone for long periods, which was part of the reason for her relinquishment. She’s not a great traveller in the car and is often sick.
She loves other dogs, as long as they don’t jump on her back (thank you Buddy) and will play beautifully. We understand she’s mixed with dogs of all sizes – a close family member had a Chihuahua which was her wee pal.
What kind of home do we need for Kendi?
Kendi wants a garden, she doesn’t like being cooped up in the house, she loves being outdoors. The garden should be designed so that neighbours and strangers cannot reach over to touch her, she finds being touched by new people terrifying and some people are just so insistent!
She’s happy with quieter, older children but would struggle (at least initially) in a house where friends were in and out all the time, every new person is a worry for her! She’s not for the family that want to take their dog everywhere with them, she’s too much of a worrier for that.
