About Lori.
Lori was found dumped on an rural road in the Ochil hills, she’s a young female with no microchip. She certainly looks to be mostly German Shepherd but there is perhaps something else in there.
Given her awful experience, Lori is a little shy of new people and will not willingly approach, men she shys away from more so. She is frightened of traffic ad she will cower when our van is driven through the yard. While at the vet she was very distressed at attempts to examine her and was muzzled for her vaccines and microchip.
Lori & Ronnie are great friends and have recently started to play with each other, she’s a bit full on with other dogs she meets but we’re optimistic she’ll improve as her confidence grows.
What kind of home do we need for Lori?
An experienced dog owner would be great, German Shepherd’s are not for a first time dog owner (perhaps this is why she was abandoned) and she will need someone with experience of training dogs to help guide her.
As she is so shy, her own private and secure garden would be wonderful but not imperative. Walks in a busy town park might just be a bit overwhelming for her at this time.
As she was a stray dog we will not rehome her to families with children under 12 years of age.
