Coco arrived with Gizmo, the dogs had belonged to an elderly lady who had not had the dogs seen by vets or groomed in a very long time and we had to spend a lot of time building their trust, Coco was very traumatised when she arrived. After some sweet talking, the dogs were taken to the vets for anaesthesia, full shave and health check.
Coco, who has just turned 13 recently has a couple of lumps which we feel would be too much for her to remove and so she will be rehomed with the view that it’s a palliative care situation – further details can requested from kennel staff. Coco still enjoys a walk and loves to play with a toy.
The dogs are a bit barky towards other dogs, don’t like cats and are not used to little kids so teenagers only or an adult only home. We would of course love to rehome them together but appreciate this is a tough sell.
This is Coco & Gizmo when they arrived with us. Coco’s back legs were matted together and her skin burned with urine where it couldn’t escape.
