Found a home.
Nevis arrived with us due to owners ill health and him being such a strong, bouncy boy. The picture may be misleading, he is the size of a deerhound.
Nevis is a sweet boy but very definitely a sight hound. He will chase small animals and he is very reactive to traffic, lunging towards all vehicles – the bigger the vehicle the bigger the reaction! We’re working on this with him, trying to walk him away from fast moving traffic at the moment but this will be something that will require ongoing training from his new owner.
His new owner should be experienced with sighthounds and will have to be strong and fit. His new owner must have their own large garden where he can play freely off lead without being approached by other animals.
Nevis has enjoyed playing with other large dogs at the kennels and is possibly one of the fastest dogs we’ve had here in recent years.
Nevis has not lived with kids but enjoyed playing with his owners Grandchildren when they visited for a couple of weeks in the summer.
