Harley, 5yo Bulldog

About Harley.

Harley arrived with us through no fault of her own.

Harley is such a sweet girl, has been well loved and gives so much love in return.

She has been diagnosed with hip dysplasia so she can’t walk long distances but at this time there is no sign of arthritis so it’s to be managed with gentle exercise, joint supplements and keeping her weight down at this time.

She enjoys meeting new people and new dogs – but does have an awful habit of splatting them! She does jump up at people too which might be too much for some.

What kind of home do we need for Harley?

Harley needs someone home most of the time, she isn’t used to being left. Perhaps someone who works from home? She must have a dog on the furniture house, she likes to be close to you. Very close! Sometimes too close!

A bungalow would be good for her as lots of stairs will put extra pressure on her hips, her own garden advantageous so she can sunbathe in peace.

She will need regular short walks, she is strong on the lead and will pull when she first goes out. A home with kids 8+ would be fine, provided they are used to dogs and pretty robust – she will bowl them over!
