Tyson arrived as a stray, we were unable to contact the registered keeper.
Tyson is great fun, very excitable. He’s been meeting other dogs through the fences and on lead while he learns to just sniff, instead of jumping on other dogs heads which he did initially! We have our dog trainer working on lead manners with him, he’s actually pretty good on a lead, until a dog comes too close then all sense seems to leave his body! He is just soooooooo excited to say hello that other dogs think he’s terrifying!
He was happy to be examined by the vet and is happy to meet all new people, but is lacking in manners, so like dogs, his favoured method of greeting is to jump on your head. We will continue to work on this while he’s with us.
What kind of humans are we looking for for him?
An experienced dog owner would be preferred, just to help him clean up his act a bit. We don’t know about his suitability at home, his kennel is regularly rearranged, water bowl tipped up and the odd accident, more so overnight, but he doesn’t seem to be a chewer, we don’t think he could cope being left alone for long periods.
