Ben is a 10 year old German Shepherd. Ben was rehomed by us back in 2021 and has sadly been returned due to the ill-health of his owner who is now returning to the mainland, Ben has had a lovely free-range kind of lifestyle on the Isle of Jura, eating seaweed and chasing sea birds!
Ben is an escape artist with separation anxiety at home but would lie in the garden all day if someone was working from home. His lead manners are pretty diabolical and so he’ll need someone strong and with plenty patience as he drags his walker along like an old rag at the moment. Recall isn’t a word Ben understands and therefore he wears a long line here in our yard as there’s no chance of getting him back in hurry.
Ben is great with other dogs, although due to his size some smaller dogs are intimidated by him. He hasn’t been around cats and is just too glaikit to be around wee kids, he’ll walk into them!
