Moss, 5yo Border Collie

Moss is a failed working dog who came to us from their owner, he prefers to chase sheep, rather than herd them! He’s been a kennel dog all of her life and therefore is NOT HOUSETRAINED he will lift his leg wherever he pleases and so will definitely need his own secure garden while he is taught to live indoors.

Moss arrived with Bett & Annie but is intent on mounting them so we don’t let them exercise together, we are told he is unpredictable around other dogs and while he’s intent on humping everyone we’re giving him time to decompress to the kennels before making more formal introductions to other dogs – his castration is booked!

Moss loves cuddling all the staff and volunteers at the kennels, was happy to be examined by the vet but has never been around small children or large groups of people. He will chase cats and other small furry creatures.

Moss has not walked on a lead or travelled in a car, we will introduce these things while he’s with us. He will need further lead, recall and house training from an experienced dog owner who will be prepared to take time introducing him to domestic life.
