Nipper, 11yo JRT x

Nipper is an elderly JRT X who arrived at PADS following the death if her owner. Family tried to take her on but Nipper would not tolerate the children in the home so she was brought to us.

Nipper’s name is real but could well have been a nickname earned by her snappy little attitude!! She can’t nip any more as since her arrival with us she’s had all her teeth removed due to extensive dental disease. As well as that, she had a cyst the size of a plum removed from her back, she recovered well from her surgery and is now ready for her new home.

She’s hoping for a retirement home with a person who doesn’t take life too seriously – and who want a grumpy auld wummin in their lives. She resource guards her bed and attacks it if you try to move her, she will refuse to walk sometimes, she wants hand-fed a lot of the time! She has made herself the office dog here at the kennels and there’s not a darn thing the staff can do about it!

Nipper is house-trained, loves a cuddle on your lap, would love a wee tootle around the block a couple of times a day, she is not reactive to other dogs while walking. She would also be quite happy chasing a ball around the garden too.

No kids, cats or other dogs in her new home please.
