Clara, 4yo Cocker

Clara arrived as a stray having been found tied to a fence with another dog. Given her condition, we believe she’s likely been regularly kennelled or crated as her feet were impacted with dirt. She does not keep her kennel clean and will often relieve herself after exercise when returned to her kennel. She’s atypical of a working Cocker who has not got a job to do and is busy-busy-busy just buzzing around at top speed. We don’t believe she’s ever done any lead walking as she pulls and spins and doesn’t really know what to do with herself.

She has an untreated ear infection, which we are managing with drops.

As she was a stray, we cannot rehome Clara to households with children less than 12 years of age, as per our policy. We do not know her suitability around cats. Clara could live with another dog, and it may actually be beneficial for her to have another dog to learn from however, she can be food & toy possessive so the other dog should be pretty easy going.

As ever, breed experience is advantageous and a fully secured and private garden where she can practice her house-training.

Cocker’s are a popular listing on our website so we would ask that you are patient while we sift through applicants.
