Cleo arrived as a stray having been found tied to a fence with another dog. Given her condition, we believe she’s likely been regularly kennelled or crated as her feet were impacted with dirt alongside untreated yeasty ears. She does not keep her kennel clean and will often relieve herself after exercise when returned to her kennel. She’s atypical of a working Cocker who has not got a job to do and is busy-busy-busy just buzzing around at top speed.
Cleo has an untreated old injury in one of her hind legs. Having sought advice from specialist surgeons there is no need for surgery at this time. Any potential adopter will have to be aware that in her later years surgery or at least arthritis pain management costs will likely be incurred. Any serious adopters are welcome to request a full veterinary report regarding this injury. She’s a very small Cocker Spaniel of just 6kg.
As she was a stray, we cannot rehome Cleo to households with children less than 12 years of age, as per our policy. We do not know her suitability around cats. Cleo could live with another dog, and it may actually be beneficial for her to have another dog to learn from.
As ever, breed experience is advantageous and a fully secured and private garden where she can practice her house-training.
The adoption fee for all dogs is £210.00.
