About Bailey
Bailey came to us because he was guarding the mother in the home. Although very cute this sassy little boy has a large attitude and will use his teeth! He’s been rehomed and returned within 24 hours – twice!
He’s great with the staff here, fine with other dogs and walks nicely on lead. Recall is poor here although his owner advised he was usually good. He is a stroppy little devil, we cannot emphasise this enough!
He doesn’t like to be handled by new people, and can be a wee devil when it comes to putting a lead on. He doesn’t like men especially. He’s not used to a groomers and has been sedated and shaved by vets in previous years.
What kind of home do we need for Bailey?
An experienced female dog owner with a secure garden would be wonderful.
He’ll need regular grooming so someone experienced with this aspect too as he’s not used to being clipped while awake any new family will need to set to work on managing his coat right away.
Whomever adopts Bailey will probably need to visit a number of times to develop a trust before he can safely go with them.
Given his history of using his teeth we will not rehome Bailey with children under 12 years of age.
