Dog, yes, that’s his name on his microchip, came to us following the death of his owner so we have little information about him. He’s nearly 9 years old and had been living in a flat with a single elderly man.
He’s not bothered for other dogs in the passing or through kennel doors but we haven’t any suitable testers for him to play with in the yard at the moment – all of our other rescue dogs are dog reactive.
He’s a bit grumpy sometimes around food and if he’s grabbed suddenly but he’s never snapped just a wee growl to tell you to back off. He was successfully checked over by the vet.
What kind of home do we need for Dog?
Someone strong – he’s got some power when he wants to go. Once he gets going he walks quite nicely on a lead but if there’s someone or something he wants when he’s out, be prepared to get taken along for a look!
A garden is advantageous because recall is zero! His nose could take him to the ends of the earth. He’s getting on a bit so upstairs apartment living probably isn’t ideal for him now, especially as he’s not that keen on being man-handled.
