Ragnar arrived with us because his owner has terminal cancer. Ragnar was born in January 2021 and is Border Collie x Rough Collie.
Ragnar is not a cuddly dog, he will approach for pets but is a very aloof character. He will give you the side-eye if he doesn’t want approached and we’ve learned he’s most funny around food.
He’s ok with other dogs, his owner reports he wasn’t interested in cats but he never lived with any.
He’s ok with new people, again aloof and will approach when he’s ready.
What kind of home do we need for Ragnar?
Collie people. We need adopters that will respect his lack of want for affection, he doesn’t want cuddled, his owner told us he’s been like this since a pup, when he’s lying sleeping he wants left alone. As children struggle to understand these boundaries, rehoming with children is not optional.
His owner had reported his lead manners were good but so far with us out of the yard he’s pulled like a lunatic, so this will need further work.
