Poppy, 2yo Pug x Jug

Poppy arrived from her family, due to a change in circumstances the family felt they were no longer able to meet her needs.

Poppy is a sweet girl, friendly towards people, children and other dogs. She’s lived with a cat although it’s understood that the cat wasn’t that impressed with her she posed no danger to the cat.

Poppy is currently overweight and will require careful dietary management to help her lose a kilo or two. She has very narrow ear canals, which may require veterinary attention going forward. Weight loss and careful dietary management may help this condition but it will likely be a lifelong matter for consideration for any adopter.

What kind of home are we looking for?

We would like someone with knowledge of brachycephalic breeds, we need someone willing to help her get down to a healthy weight. Her previous owners feel that although she could live with other pets, she’d really relish being the only pet so she could be the centre of attention.

Poppy has zero recall and therefore a garden for off leash exercise would be preferred.

To meet Poppy you must submit an application form, we may then invite you for a meeting by appointment.
