Frankie came to us from his family, he’d been taken in by a family member of his original owner but Frankie found a houseful of children too much and so he had to come to us.
It’s taken Frankie a while to come around to us but he’s fab now, although all new people are met with suspicion so potential adopters shouldn’t expect to meet their best friend right away. He’s not great with other dogs or cats. He enjoys a walk but cannot be let off lead as his recall is… “Frankie, Frankie come back!!!” . Frankie wouldn’t enjoy walking in the park with other off lead dogs around, walks in areas where other dogs are onlead would be more fitting for him – although I’m sure he’d love the occasional romp around a secure private dog park on occasion as a treat!
He’s a cuddly boy, who enjoys a blanket or fluffy dressing gown. He’s house-trained, crate-trained and enjoys car travel.
What kind of home are we looking for?
A home without a lot of visitors would be great but someone still able to get him a good romp around, he’s curious and excited out walking so someone who can get him out and about away from heavily populated areas would be wonderful. His adopter(s) should be familiar with dog reactivity and respectful of his preference not to be bothered by other dogs. Of course an owner willing use or seek out kind training methods to help with his reactivity and anxiety would be welcomed. A secure and private garden would be awesome so he can have regular off lead exercise with his ball.
