Coco belonged to an elderly lady who had not had her dogs seen by vets or groomed in a very long time and we had to spend a lot of time building their trust, Coco was very traumatised when she arrived. After some sweet talking, the dogs were taken to the vets for anaesthesia, full shave and health check.
Coco, who has just turned 13 recently has a couple of lumps which we feel would be too much for her to remove and so she will be rehomed with the view that it’s a palliative care situation – further details can requested from kennel staff. Coco still enjoys a walk and loves to play with a toy. She’s a bit barky towards other dogs, don’t like cats and is not used to little kids so teenagers or an adult only home.
Coco has had a trip to the groomers and managed the bath but was very grumpy about the scissors so we’re playing with the scissors regularly to try and desensitise her to them.
