Luna, 14mo Lurcher

FOUND A HOME

Luna arrived with us after she bit the child in the home. She is an anxious dog but we have seen no cause for concern with her here, she’s met people, been out with dog walkers and visited the vet too.

She plays with Glen here, they’re great chums, but she is wary of some dogs and new people. Being a Lurcher she does have quite a prey drive and so should not be allowed offlead where she may maim other animals or small dogs.

She doesn’t like to toilet on the lead and will need further help with house-training. She’s a bit of a Princess and doesn’t do cold or rain! She has had hives in the past and requires a sensitive grain free diet.

What kind of home do we need for her?

Luna must have a secure garden with fences of 6ft and a garden that can be used as a Lurcher racetrack – as my goodness this girl can run!
She’s loved playing with Glen and so another easy going dog that can keep up with her might be great to help bring her on.

We need someone that is going to respect her anxiety and not force her into situations that she’s not ready for, she’s not a dog to go everywhere with her human, not yet anyway. Given that she bit the child in her last home, we will not rehome her with children under 12 years of age.

If you’re interested in learning more about Luna you will be required to fill in an adoption application form before visiting the kennels. Applications will close once we find a suitable applicant.
