Oak, 4yo Spanish Hound

reserved

Oak was brought to the UK 4 years ago, when he was just 4 months old. Sadly, he has begun fighting with the other dog in the home and has become increasingly stressed by the baby who is learning to walk.

He is wary of new people, other dogs, but is gentle with cats and chickens. Being a hound he cannot be let off lead – his nose will get him into trouble! He is a big woose and frightened of loud noises – and the mural in our compound.

Oak is house-trained, ok to be left for a couple of hours and travels well on the back seat of a car with a seatbelt. He is strong and is used to wearing a Halti when out walking.

What kind of home do we need for Oak?

Oak would love his own garden, he is a shy boy so having his own place to relax and be off lead is really important. A good relationship with your neighbours would be good too because he can really AWOOOOOO!!

It would be advantageous if the new family had experience or knowledge of hounds. His owners advised he would be better suited to being the only dog in the home, he is frightened of children so teenagers only please.
