Norman, 18mo Lurcher

NORMAN IS NOW RESERVED PENDING HOME CHECK

Norman was found as a stray so we don’t know anything about his puppy life.

We believe he’s possibly been kept outside, as his coat has changed since he arrived with us. He’s got no real house manners and will readily throw himself onto worktops and even climb in windows if he sees food! He’s reigning champion at messiest kennel here and will regularly toilet as soon as he’s brought back inside.

He’s a friendly guy with new people, definitely more reserved around men. He’s very enthusiastic with dogs and loves to play!

What kind of home do we need for Norman?

Norman will need someone with experience of dog ownership, he’s kind of like an adult puppy needing assistance with house-training, house rules and obedience. He’ll need a garden where he can practice toileting outside, he can do it but won’t do it on lead!

He could live with another dog but they’d have to be playful or he’d torment the life out of him.

Lurchers are not usually suited to living with cats, rabbits and other small animals given their high prey instincts.

As he was found a stray, our policy is that no stray dogs can be rehomed with children under 12 years of age.
