Olivia, 1yo Lurcher

What we know about Olivia.

Olivia was found straying but her owner never came forward to claim her.

She’s very food motivated and sometimes refuses to do the toilet until she’s been fed! She is messy in her kennel but we understand that she has lived in a house, we don’t know if she was free or crated at home.

She’s not aggressive towards other dogs but not interested in them either. She walks well on the lead, non-reactive to traffic but a wee bitty too interested in the sheep in the fields next to us!

What kind of home do we need for Olivia?

Olivia would ideally have a garden of her own where she can have offlead exercise, perhaps someone with access to secure open ground or even with the financial stability to afford dog walking fields regularly to allow her to run.

Lurchers are not usually suited to living with cats, rabbits and other small animals given their high prey instincts.

As she was found a stray, our policy is that no stray dogs can be rehomed with children under 12 years of age.
