Gibbs, or Mr Gibbs, as he’s affectionately known, is quite typical of the Patterdale Terrier. He is a terrierist, he doesn’t care for other dogs, cats or other small things. He is however the couthiest, cuddliest, loveliest boy with grown up human beings.
He is housetrained, likes being groomed and travels well. Walks nicely on the lead until there is someone or something that needs shouted at. Recall is typical of a terrier in that, when there’s something to chase the ears engage ‘off’ mode!
What kind of home are we looking for?
An experienced dog owner preferred and someone experienced with reactivity is also advantageous. He isn’t for the human who likes to walk their dog to the local park, he’d prefer somewhere less doggy. A private & secure garden would be great so he can enjoy off lead time.
